Historical Background
The Royal Hungarian Signals Corps (Híradó Csapatok) formed the communications backbone of the Royal Hungarian Honvéd. Responsible for maintaining reliable contact between headquarters and frontline formations, signal units ensured the rapid transmission of orders, intelligence and operational information throughout both peace and wartime.
Using field telephones, telegraph systems, radio equipment and dispatch services, signals personnel supported every branch of the armed forces. During the territorial revisions and the campaigns of the Second World War, communications units operated under demanding conditions, often constructing and maintaining networks close to the front lines.
