Tibor Gallé - The Great Experience  


Tibor Gallé (1896 - 1944) were a famous Hungarian a graphic-artist and painter during the 1930-th. Serving in WW1, he fell in Russian captivity and spend time as a prisoner of war in various camps in Siberia.

After returning to Hungary, Tibor Gallé put his life as a prisoner on paper. In 20 detailed lithography drawings he called it "A Nagy Élmény" (The Great Experience).

 In 1936 Tibor Gallé presented his drawings to his friend and fellow POW István Jánosdeák, who just like Tibor returned from Russian captivity.
