" Reserve "
Older soldiers posing for a group photograph. Many older reserve troops and soldiers were called in for shorter repetition service during the inter war period. Hungary had to keep a very restricted number of regular soldiers in the ranks according to the peace-treaty after WW1. Many of the older soldiers were veterans from the war 1914-18.

" Housed Company "
A company of Hungarian soldiers spends a night at a civilian house. This small and unknown series of photographs shows an enjoyable glimpse of the everyday life of conscripted soldiers before WW2.

Food is served and enjoyed after a day of exercise.

Time for relax and leisure, together with the local family.

The next morning, the company and officers are ready for another exercise day!
